Cadet Estimator
Inspired Built Pty Ltd are looking for a part-time Cadet Estimator to join our growing team and become part of the next chapter in our journey.

Inspired Built is a young, innovative team of builders servicing South East Queensland in residential, commercial, and industrial styles of property. We offer a diverse range of skills throughout the production process enabling us to build strong relationships with our clients as we manage their project from start to finish.
WHAT WE ARE AFTER
We are looking for a bright and ambitious junior who will fit in with our growing team. This person will be eager to work hard and learn on the go in a live role, delivering projects to pressing deadlines.
We are open to all applicants but are specifically looking for a student in Construction Management and/or Quantity Surveying at University in their third year or later, who is available a minimum of 3 days a week with the potential of going full time down the track.
JOB ROLE
You will be working closely with our Project and Site teams, assisting first-hand in delivering projects from feasibility through to completion.
As an Cadet Estimator you will be involved in the following:
· Measuring & Estimating as initial priority
· Tendering
· Contract Administration
· Project Management
· Liaising with Sub-contractors, Clients and Consultants day to day
· Learning and understanding construction programs and processes
· General Administration
This is a great opportunity to learn all aspects of project admin and management.
KEY DUTIES
· Work closely with Quantity Surveyor
· Read and measure architectural and structural drawings including specifications
· Translate drawings into cost estimates & BOQ’s.
· Assemble estimates and proposals
· Assist with key administration duties
YOU WILL NEED
· Valid QLD driver’s license
· Knowledge of measurement/estimating
· Knowledge of general construction principals
· Good time management and organisation skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines
· Attention to detail
· PC skills in Word, Excel, Outlook
· Jonas Premier Software or JOBPAC (not essential but will be looked on favourably)
· Currently enrolled in construction related degree – Construction Management or Quantity Surveying preferable (3rd year or later)
